Completing this task on Desmos familiarizes students with using the site, which is part of the Virginia Standards of Learning. This particular task uses coordinates that are difficult to recreate on a hand drawn graph. Using the "Table" tool in Desmos creates a more accurate graph. The teacher should use the "Pacing" tool so that students are only able to access slides as the teacher makes them available.  Students should input x and y values in the given tables to create points on a graph. Students can use the graph to visually see a point of intersection and infer what that point represents. The Desmos activity provides discussion points and a chance for students to create equations in slope-intercept form to align with plotted points.
