Cybersecurity is a very important portion of computer science today. This activity has students complete a web search to find the ten things they feel you should know about some aspect of cybersecurity. This activity can be completed by a group of students or by an individual student.

This is a lesson plan on iteration and looping to be used with high school aged students who are using the python programming language. This resource includes a PowerPoint presentation along with a python file for students to use to practice the concept of iteration. The python file has areas in which the student is asked to complete the statement by inserting variables in the program. As the student works through the steps of the program, the steps build up to the final task which is to write the code for a basic random number generator.

Using a Fluffy pancakes recipe students will identify a recipe as a type of algorithm. Students will identify the part of the recipe that is numbered as the steps or algorithm is numbered. Students are expected to identify that number one step is done before number 2 and so on. Students will work in pairs to create their own algorithm for brushing teeth. Students should work in pairs. One student should create the algorithm and the other should debug the algorithm.
