Well-Trained Staff

(View Complete Item Description)

Administrators and educators are often on the front lines of promoting student mental health and addressing mental health concerns and must be adequately trained and supported to do so. Equipping educators with social and emotional skills and mental health literacy will prepare them to best support student mental health and create a healthier workforce. In addition, specialized instructional support teams (e.g., school counselors, social workers and school psychologists, and other qualified professional personnel, such as school nurses and occupational therapists) must be adequately staffed to provide assessment, diagnosis, counseling, educational, therapeutic and other necessary services to support student needs.
