Medical Product Commercial - Interpretive Listening
This activity is an interpretive listening task with an authentic resource (medical product commercial) in Spanish to be used in level 2 (possibly 1 or 3 depending on the unit you are teaching and your students' abilities).
Activity Instructions:
- Pre-teach vocabulary as part of unit or at least before showing video (llagar, capa protectora, gel, desinflamar, acelerar, cicatrización, aliviar, oral, dolor, doler, varias partes del cuerpo)
- Show students the thumbnail of the video and have them turn & talk with a partner to predict what the commercial might be about. (You may want to cover the title).
- Play the video once
- Have students turn & talk to discuss what they think the video is about
- Play the video again
- Have students write key words that they heard in the video
- Play the video again
- Answer questions
- Have students compare answers with a partner and review, or hand in first and then review answers
