SIP Lessons and 5 E Format - Your Thoughts

Hi All,

We have uploaded over 60 Science Instruction Plans (SIPs)! These are lessons aligned to our science standards and written in the 5E format.

I was wondering which SIP lessons teachers are using and what they think about them. There are several lessons for each grade, including high school courses Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

What are your thoughts?

The curriculum team in Newport News has been using the elementary SIP plans and the 5 e model to help create Canvas Modules for the grade levels. THe SIP are also part of our curriculum as a guide to teachers on creating lessons in the 5 e model.

Great! Please let us know which SIPs are being used and how students/teachers are receiving them. What tweaks were needed? What did they like about them?
