These resources are designed to inform the development of a division opioid overdose prevention and reversal program of instruction and equip teachers with the knowledge and tools needed to address classroom instruction focused on the opioid crisis. By increasing student understanding of the dangers of opioids, particularly fentanyl, and learning how to recognize the signs of an overdose, students become empowered to make informed decisions and take preventive measures. The instructional materials provided in this resource can be integrated into instructional programs to help teachers with instruction pertaining to the dangers of opioids, recognizing an opioid overdose, and how to use naloxone to reverse an opioid overdose.
