Students will learn about different abolitionist groups and individuals advocating for abolition prior to the Civil War, as well as analyze four differet abolitionist speeches. After, student will use what they have learned to create their own abolitionist speech. Includes lesson plan, slides, Student Speech Analysis Handout, student instructions, and sample abolition speech.
