Science in Action - Covid 19
by Gregory MacDougall 4 years, 7 months agoIn the science classroom, we teach concepts we know that based on many years of research and testing. Today, we are faced with a pandemic. Scientists are still studying the virus and rates of transmission.
Attached is a data set of the top 15 countries of confirmed Covid-19 cases and deaths. It was obtained from a reputable source, Johns Hopkins. How might this data be used by you to help you understand the seriousness this virus? What are your projected numbers? How do rates of transmission compare among certain countries?
You will see one graph I created from the data. What other graphs would you find useful? What would you like to explore? More importantly, how might students explore this data?
