In this enrichment lesson, students will use technology to demonstrate their understanding of intradisciplinary and interdisciplinary concepts by creating a math video on how they use mathematics in their daily lives. Throughout the activity, they will be able to apply, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate information gathered from observation or through experiments as they work with their peers in a collaborative setting.

Students will research and then compose a researched-based persuasive essay. Students will debate with opponents of their topic in front of their teacher and peers. ** This performance assessment was developed by a collaborative team of teachers and division staff from Middlesex, Poquoson, and West Point school divisions.

This lesson Water Scarcity lesson emphasizes on creating awareness about the importance of conserving renewable resources and encouraging students to be reflective writers. The idea behind this activity is to allow students to activate their 5 C’s. This lesson can be used at any grade level as the content is very fluid. Students will be able to understand the significance of renewable resources like water and be able to brainstorm a possible solution for conserving water in the regions of water scarcity.
