This skit is a project that I use along with the Avancemos 1 Spanish curriculum. It aligns with Unit 5 Lesson 2 (party and chores vocabulary, affirmative tú commands, hay que and acabar de phrases). I usually opt for flexible grouping and allot five to six 55-minute class periods for this project. Students always enjoy these skits and wow me every year with their creativity. Just remind them (if necessary) that all skit content must be school appropriate.

This artifact goes through the process of how to describe images. You can edit this to make the instructions in Spanish, to add or change images, or to add or change activities. 

Students will create a 2D or Digital invitation to their dream Quinceañera utilizing the present and past indicative tenses to express their details and discuss their experience.

The hyperdoc provides students self-paced learning, practice, and application of vocabulary and verbs related to clothing in Spanish, and it includes opportunities for students and teacher to evaluate learning and mastery of targeted content. A variety of online sites are provided to students to practice recognition and recall of vocabulary related to clothes and to self-assess. Three application tasks engage students in listening and reading comprehension, and open-ended writing.

This is a presentational speaking video that students will plan and record independently to describe their daily routine

How to use this activity:Students create three small paragraphs: (1) morning routine, (2) school routine, and (3) after school or afternoon routine. 

Use this organizer to help students review and assemble lists of the people who matter in their lives. Each oval shows how near/far the relationship is from the study (parents close, mother's boss far, for example). This prepares students for units on relationships and personal description.
