The 2023 Super Bowl Champions are the Kansas City Chiefs. A sixty-nine person roster made up this team that represents a “rEnglishtion” in Mathematics. This roster represents different data types, including numeric and non-numeric data. Lots of VARIABLES are contained in the roster that can be used to represent “domain” and “range”. Students will find the domain and range of each player for given NUMERIC DATA and NON-NUMERIC DATA criteria and determine if the rEnglishtion is a function or not. Performing an operation on the values will determine if the data tables represent a function or not a function. This will allow the student to tie computer science vocabulary to Mathematics terminology and show how they are interrEnglishted.

With the growing usage of social media by younger audiences, cyberbullying becomes an increased risk. While social media users may be respectful in a face-to-face conversation, online communication offers anonymity that can lead to intimidation and inappropriate online behavior by those using the different platforms. In this lesson, students will evaluate various media messages about cyberbullying and netiquette to determine what makes an effective media message while identifying characteristics of cyberbullying and appropriate internet practices. As an extension, students can apply their learning by creating an effective media message that informs their school about safe internet use and cyberbullying. *To help with pacing, the Cyberbullying and Netiquette portion of this lesson may be able to be taught during a Guidance Time.

Local networks work together to allow different people to share resources throughout a house, business or school. When those networks are connected to other local networks within businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, and individuals around the world, it creates a worldwide network. Both local and worldwide networks have some similarities and differences. In this lesson, students will read an informational article about beehives to compare and contrast the roles of those bees within the beehive and the roles of those bees outside of the hive. Essentially, the bees have their own local and worldwide networks. Students will then compare and contrast local and worldwide networks in order to explain how networks and beehives are very similar.
