I created the Equations True or False Jamboard to give my students practice with identifying equations. They used a graphic organizer to solve each equation and then sorted it to the true or false column. You could also have students work the problems on whiteboards. Before doing the sort, we practiced finding the answers to equations and creating equations that were true. We talked about the equal and not equal sign and how that might change whether or not an equation is true or false. This activity supports sol 3.17.

The first skill I practice with my students on area is counting the square units inside of a regular shape. It gives them a better understanding about area. This activity supports sol 3.8b, counting the number of square units needed to cover a given surface in order to determine its area. I created this jamboard for my virtual students, so that they are doing the same lesson as my in person students and I can see their work in real time. Jamboard has been an essential Google tool for me during this school year while teaching both in person and virtual students.

I created the Polygons Sort Jam to give my students practice with polygons vocabulary. Before doing the sort, I have my students practice with drawing polygons and playing games to help learn the names. I also give them a helpful hints page to help them remember the names and sides of the polygons. This activity supports sol 3.12, identify and name polygons with ten or fewer sides.
