Information Technology is a broad field to learn about. Within IT there are many careers. This lesson is designed to help engage the students in the IT field where they will be able to research and discover various jobs they are interested in. Students will discover the education requirments, possible benefits of different jobs, salary, hiring demad, and growth potential in the field.The activities include: brainstorming, compare and contrast, research, writing,  and using software either in Google or Microsoft.

Ciphers and Encryption Part 4: Book Ciphers

The student or class will read about book ciphers and how they work.  Students will then be able to use a cipher provided to crack a secret message.  Teachers can edit the message to fit their needs and make adjustments as desired.  This is one mini lesson out of a series of five, this is lesson four and it can be completed alone, or with any of the other lessons.

Ciphers and Encryption Part 5: Caesar Cipher

Middle-Schoolers Coding With Python Part 1 of 3

The students will copy and paste code snippets from Google Slides and run them on Replit.  After students run the code, they will screenshot the images created using "import Turtle", a graphics program within Python.  These screenshots will be used as a digital greeting card and students will practice composing emails. Lastly, students send/email their created digital artifacts to three of their friends or family members to wish them a "Happy New Year".*The image attached is just a sample and may or may not be what this lessons code creates.
