Foster students’ creativity as they pretend to be weather reporters using a green screen.

Students will use the Makey Makey board to create an interactive poster using weather images, recordings and/or text to display their knowledge of weather. They will use conductive materials to create conductive touchpoints.

This lesson will track the weather for a week.  It will get students actively engaged in checking the weather.  This will help teach responsibility as a child can prepare how to dress for the weather as well.  Students will learn great science vocabulary as well as spark an interest that may lead to further weather investigations.

Students will compare the technology of weather instruments long ago to weather instruments today. They will then make a weather vane and compare it to a weather vane connected with technology.
