ESTAR & SER are some of the most difficult verbs for students to remember, and learn to use properly as they become more comfortable with their new language. However, this mnemonic has become one of my most useful and purposeful lessons. Students remember and use them all the time after they have learned it this way.

How to use this activity:Students create three small paragraphs: (1) morning routine, (2) school routine, and (3) after school or afternoon routine. 

The Big Idea: Kinesthetic learning incorporating programming and language instructionConcept: Programming Bee-Bot while learning school vocabulary and the verb ESTARContext: Students will use the Bee-Bot School Map to talk about the location of various places in the school building and area in Spanish. 

Great illustration for showing the meaning of the most common prepositions in Spanish. I would use this in my classroom as a printout to glue into their notebook. During preposition learning and practice, students would have this on their desk as a visual resource. You could also have students act out the illustrations with a picture frame matte or cross stitch hoop to be the box along with any ball. This practice could also turn into an assessment for students to show their understanding.

Students could also look at a variety of sample pictures or even spaces in the classroom. Using the prepositions, they could describe their relation to each other.
