Students are presented with four linear-quadratic systems of equations and must compare their answers from solving algebraically, looking at a table, and looking at a graph. When the solutions are non-integer solutions, they must explain how the table and graph confirm their algebraic solution.

This web quest must be  done during an active hurricane. Students will use real-time data to analyze data, practice reading maps, and make predication. Students will also have the opportunity to research past hurricanes. 

Students will participate in a 5E lesson. To ENGAGE, students will connect their understanding of the characteristics of life to the fundamental molecule of life: DNA. To EXPLORE, students will extract DNA from fruit in a hands on (or video of a) lab, and then, students will act as Watson and Crick and use clues to discover the structure of DNA. In the EXPLAIN section, students will use slides to fill out guided notes on the structure of DNA and RNA. To ELABORATE on their understanding of DNA, students can participate in the CRISPR-Cas9 interactive and the Regulation of the Lactase Gene click and learn. Formative evaluations of students's ability to model DNA include (1) using an online interactive, (2) using their bodies as a class, and (3) using a cut and paste model. Finally, the summative EVALUATE is a DNA Model FlipGrid in which students use various materials to construct and explain the structure of DNA.

In this Desmos activity, students will practice multiplying polynomials with Algebra Tiles. Students should have prior knowledge of the area model of multiplication before utilizing this resource.

Students will practice performing operations and compositions of functions in this activity where a roll of dice determines the functions and two practice problems for the functions.

In this virtual scavenger hunt, students will simplify expressions, by using the order of operations, and rearrange cards so they are in the correct order.

Students will sort twelve scenarios into permutations and combinations. Once they have correctly sorted the scenarios, they will solve the problems in the scenarios and learn how to check their work using the Desmos graphing calculator.

Students will use a draggable point to investigate intervals of increase and decrease and then practice writing and fining intervals.

Students will perform a universal solvent lab to observe how water behaves when mixed with various substances.

This google slides activity will assist students in making connections with proportional reasoning.  Students will create tables, equivalent ratios, and graph friendly scenarios. Draggable objects are available for students who need manipulatives to figure it out.

Students will complete a variety of Pythagorean Theorem word problems:ones where they must find a legones where they must find a hypotenuseones where they must find a perimeterones where they must find 2 legs.The activity is created so that the graph animates their solution to help them determine whethere the distance they found was too short, too long, or just right.

Students observe patterns between the graph, x-intercepts, factored form, roots, equation, and zeros. They use the patterns they observed and the information given in one column to fill in the other columns.

In this self - checking activity, students will answer questions related to expressing a ratio in one of the three forms. As students enter their answers, a part of the picture will be revealed. Once students complete the self - checking part of the activity. they will complete a reflection question explaining how the relationship changes when the numbers are switched.  

In this activity, students will use different strategies to help understand and represent ratios. 

Students will use the discriminant to determine if quadratic equations have 2 imaginary, 2 real, or 1 real solution. They will then practice solving quadratic equations.

This activity is used for students to master solving problems using the following trigonometric functions: sine, cosine, and tangent. The activity is self checking, so students should be aware of their progress as they work.
