This assessments fulfills the requirement for a VAAP local alternative assessment for writing 5-reporting category- research, plan, compose, and revise for a variety of purposes. 

Virginia VAAP Science Standard 5S-SI 1b: The student will demonstrate and understanding of scientific reasoning, logic and the nature of science by planning and conducting investigations in which objects or events are classified and arranged according to characteristics or properties

This is a simple plan/activity to teach students to match number names to numerals 0-20 for VESOL Math 3.1.  The Clip activity can be used seperately.  

This is a simple activy/lesson that will teach students to use the attributes of circles, triangles, and squares to identify a circle, square or triangle.  

This is a simple lesson/activity for studenfs to identify the closest number above or below a given number 0-20 for the Math VESOL 3.2.  

This is a simple lesson/activity to have students compare whole numbers from 0-20 for Math VESOL 3.3.  

The performance-based assessment is intended to fulfill the requirements for local alternative assessments for VAAP History Grade 3. Students complete the reporting category for geography.HS-G 1c  The student will develop map skills by indentifying the shapes of the United States and Virginia on maps and globes.
