This is a long-term project that requires students to use essays they write for class to compile a portfolio. The portfolio requires the students to revise and review work they have already been graded on in order to continue to improve their writing skills. 

This resource can be used to introduce the U.S. and international environmental laws and regulations.  It also includes a youtube video about the water crisis in Flint, Michigan.  This will help students understand that the regulations do not always prevent environmental "disasters".

This Science lesson covers Science SOL 1.1 i and reviews Math SOL 1.12. In this lesson the students will identify the color of their eyes and use this information to make a pictograph. The class will make a class graph with the option of students then creating their own graph. The students will then analyze the pictograph and answer questions. 

This lesson is aimed at students who need more practice and help with Factoring Quadratic Equations. It includes multiple video resources, practice problems, and creative ways to challenge your students to dig a little deeper in their critical thinking. 

This lesson is designed to allow students to practice with the three forms: standard, expanded and word form. Students will read, write and practice with nine digit numbers. 

The concepts of points, lines, planes, line segments, and rays are crucial for creating a great foundation on which to understand Geometry. Unlike the real-world objects that they model, points, lines, and planes do not have any actual size.  In geometry, point, line, and plane are considered undefined terms beacause they are only explained using examples and descriptions.  In this lesson, students will be able to describe, name, and sketch a picture of a point, line, plane, line segment, ray, and opposite rays.  

This lesson will allow students to add and subtract with decimals, as well as use estimation, using a practical application.
