Mic Drop Maths is a mathematics podcast for 5th graders based on the VA Standards of Learning. Each episode addresses one standard and is broken into segments including concept, real-world application, math history, literature connections, misconceptions, and more! There is music, sound effects, jokes, and student voice in each engaging and entertaining episode. 

In episode seven of the Beyond Penguins and Polar Bears podcast series, learn how scientists can get a first-hand look at changing polar icebergs and glaciers and what these changes can teach us about density.

Students use digital research skills to Find Basic Information (F.B.I.) about a composer on websites such as Classic for Kids: Composer Explorer. Students learn about a specific composer, or composers from a specific geographic area, culture, genre, or time period. After gathering information, students write and produce a news program or podcast based on their research.

Students use creativity, critical thinking skills, and collaboration to research, develop, and produce podcasts that inform and educate listeners on various musical topics. Students brainstorm ideas for their podcast topic, and conduct research on their selected topic. Students then write an outline and script for a podcast. Finally, students learn how to record their script like a podcast, and share it with others.

Students use appropriate technology to enrich understanding of music, musicians and composers of music literature being studied. Students can create a research product such as write program notes or create a podcast.

Students use creativity, critical thinking skills, and collaboration to research, develop, and produce podcasts that inform and educate listeners on various musical topics. Students select appropriate media to develop and produce the podcasts.

They will write the letters down and then put the letters together to make multiple words.  Finally, they will have put a whole sentence together!This is one in a collection of podcasts created by Virginia Beach City Public School teachers and students that focus on active learning for PreK-2 students.

In Brazil, the term língua da gente (literally ‘language of the people’) refers to the way that people actually talk in everyday speech. And that, in essence, is the object behind this series. We hope to provide practical lessons that demonstrate how people really speak, and we do this by presenting brief, slice-of-life dialogs, which focus on some daily situation, scenario, or task that we encounter every day.

Each audio podcast, generally between 8-12 minutes, includes the presentation of a brief dialog, a line-by-line English translation, and more in-depth analysis of the pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and cultural content in the lesson. Discussion blogs also accompany each lesson, providing community interaction for comments and questions. In broad terms, the lessons are subdivided into three levels of difficulty: Beginning, Elementary, and Intermediate. Additionally we have a cultural show that covers current events and related social issues.
