Use https://goopenva.org/courses/poems-that-tell-a-story-narrative-and-persona-in-the-poetry-of-robert-frost and "Love that Dog" to break down POV in poetry. Have students pair up the famous work of Robert Frost with a novel that references the poem. This allows students to break down narrative poetry in multiple formats, and experience the storytelling aspect of poetry. I remixed this lesson to tie in a poetry novel that uses Robert Frost's poem. This lesson fit nicely with the material I use to teach the novel.

In this lesson, students will use manipulatives to prove that when comparing fractions, the larger the denominator the larger the piece. Also, when pieces are the same size (the denominator), the numerator denotes how many pieces of that size we have.

In this lesson, students will use manipulatives to prove that when comparing fractions, the larger the denominator the larger the piece. Also, when pieces are the same size (the denominator), the numerator denotes how many pieces of that size. Students will be able to sort fractions quickly by adding the fraction by itself to determine if it is smaller, equal, or larger than ½.

This performance task is designed for third grade students and higher to compare and contrast a group of items based on attributes or actions classified into at least two sets and subsets. The items being classified are polygons. The use of algorithms and flowcharts is also a key component of the performance task.

Comparing two percents using representations and symbols and ordering positive rational numbers expressed as fractions (proper and improper), mixed numbers, decimals, and percents. Mathematics Instructional Plans (MIPs) help teachers align instruction with the 2016 Mathematics Standards of Learning (SOL) by providing examples of how the knowledge, skills and processes found in the SOL and curriculum framework can be presented to students in the classroom.

Investigate the difference in attractive force between polar and non-polar molecules by 'pulling' apart pairs of molecules. While all molecules are attracted to each other, some attractions are stronger than others. Non-polar molecules are attracted through a London dispersion attraction; polar molecules are attracted through both the London dispersion force and the stronger dipole-dipole attraction. The force of attractions between molecules has consequences for their interactions in physical, chemical and biological applications.

This resource is a series of slides that asks students to compare a given fraction to the benchmark numbers of 0, 1/2, and 1. This product also asks students to make generalizations about sets of fraction that are all equal to 1/2, have the same denominator, or all are one unit fraction piece away from a whole. This product is best used in conjunction with fraction strips.
