In small groups, students will be assigned two of the first ten amendments and pose the questions, “Which of these two amendments do you think is more important?” and “Why do you believe this?” in a survey of ten classmates. Then they will collect and organize the data electronically to create two visual representations of their information. Mixing Science and Computer Science has never been easier! In this lesson you will use Root Robots for Computer science using 5.7 and 5.8 computing systems.Students will explore troubleshooting with technology while exploring force and motion with the Robots. In this all inclusive lesson students will use the Scientific Method to experiment with Root Bots with force and motion. Students will graph results, create a hypothesis, proceedure lists, research with they know about force and motion, and them create a conclusion all while exploring force and motion and computer science trouble shooting.

This lesson is part of the Virginia K-12 Computer Science Pipeline which is partly funded through a GO Virginia grant in partnership with Chesapeake Public Schools, Loudoun County Public Schools, and the Loudoun Education Foundation.  In this lesson, students take on the role of a reporter traveling with Lewis and Clark.  Students program an Ozobot to travel along the path and pause at key sites as students report inportant findings and share artifacts from the expedition.
